I’m Tom Kealy, a data scientist based in Berlin.

At work I specialise in experimentation: designing and analysing A/B tests, causal inference, and demand forecasting. Before industry I did a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Statistics at the University of Bristol, after a BSc in Physics at Imperial College London.

This site has two halves. The statistics posts are practical explanations of methods I use, mostly hypothesis testing and time series. The essays are about everything else: politics, books, drama, film, work, and how to live.
